  Cozy atmosphere. Food was above expectations. The Ribeye and Crab cakes were so delicious. You can tell the chef takes pride and joy in his work. The service was very welcoming. And Ms Kaye was there serving her wonderful cakes and pies. We had her German Chocolate cake and it was perfection. Thank you for a wonderful meal after a day on the mountain. We will be back.

  My wife and kids stayed in Newland to ski and we had heard about Kay's Kitchen from the locals. I looked up the reviews, and they were all saying similar positive comments, so we checked it out for their brunch on Sunday...Wow!! It was incredible! I grew up in the hotel/restaurant industry and sold for a major food distributor, and I can simply say that Kay's doesn't take shortcuts on quality of food nor the amount they serve as portions. Omelets are cooked to order by a chef, along with a variety of flavored French Toast and Pancakes. Everything was fantastic! We loved Kay's Kitchen and will make a special trip to eat there even if we don't stay in Newland. Kay's is a must do destination for any travelers in the Banner Elk area. You won't be disappointed
